The Passion about fishing

I remember when I started fishing back in 2011. I was in a turbulent period of my life. Had to stop fitness training after 12 years. Which gave a void and negative energy.

Fortunately, a good work colleague introduced me to the fantastic positivity can bring fishing. After a Put & take trip, I was completely captivated by the fishing universe. I concentrated on put and take fishing for a year, but then fishing pulls me in a different direction. A new challenge, I started fishing for sea trout on the coast, and perch/pike in the smaller lakes. The trolling fishery for pike did not start until 2012. I suddenly started moving towards the pike/perch fishery.

From the summer of 2012 it was primarily the pike fishing that had my full attention and the sea trout fishing was only period fishing.

Why is pike fishing so special and still is today. This is due to many factors. It's a way to get away from the hardships of everyday life and enjoy nature.A real pike fisherman has seen more sunrises and sunsets then the average individual. A sundown behind the trees, while sitting in silence on the boat is so peacefull.

The preparations before a trip requires time. But once you have rigged the boat with sonar and map, your next adventure begins. . Then the next trip is almost as exciting as the first, because you never know what the day will bring. You can enjoy a fishing trip alone or with good friends. Talk about everything your heart desires.

The fishing is based on either casting or trolling for the various strains of pike that are in the lake in either shallow water or deep water.

Pike are found in Denmark in many different varieties and patterns. As a fisherman, I always go after the biggest individuals on the lake. As fishing lures have become larger and incredibly natural, it has provided greater opportunities to catch the big ladies. It has created a foundation for success but also failure. because Denmark is a small country with limited waters, which gives fishing pressure on the larger lakes and there by the larger individuals become selective and harder to catch.
